OBJECTIVE To summarize the present status and drug resistance of pathogens in hospital-acquired urinary system infection, and provide diagnostic and cure evidence for clinic physician.METHODS A total of 213 pathogen strains in urinary system infection from inpatients from Jan 2004 to Oct 2006 were identified and the drug resistance test was performed.RESULTS Escherichia coli rated the top one(34.3%)in urinary system infection, the following were Staphylococcus epidermidis,Enterococcus,Enterobacter aerogenes,Pseudomonas and fungi. The result of drug resistance test suggested that Enterobacteriaceae be resistant to several antibiotics, and Gram-positive cocci be also showed very serious drug resistance.CONCLUSIONS E.coli is the main infectious bacterium in urinary infection. As the rate of drug resistance rises, rational use of antibiotics according to urine culture results and drug sensitivity test is the very important way to prevent hospital infections. |
