A central Perspex drum divided into sections for individual animals rotates either at electronic adjustable constant speed or at a steadily acceleration rate (from 4 to 40 rpm in 5 min (RUN Mode) according Jones B. & Roberts D.J.) (and from 4 to 40 rpm in a selected time : 30 secs 1 2 5 or 10 min(ACC Mode)) Individual 3-digit LCD timers count the second of time elapsed from the beginning of the test until the animal falls from the drum in each lane. 2. To increase testing possibilities it is supplied with two four-lane easily interchangeable drums to be able to work with four rats or four mice. 3. It includes a software that allows to display the data measured associated from communication RS 232 and provided without additional cost. the gathered data are elaborated in ASCII format being therefore applicable to most of statistical software. it fulfills GLP rules and increases the functionality of the equipment saving and listing automatically all the data of the work sessions. It is compatible with Windows 95 98 ME NT 2000 and XP. It recognizes automatically the number of systems connected. 4. The surface scratching of the drum prevents the animal from sliding. |
