1) Magics RP software a. Function Magics RP is an advanced software solution for project and process management within additive manufacturing set-ups. It enables its users to streamline and automate the entire additive manufacturing process from order follow-up and data preparation through platform scheduling and machine monitoring to production planning and part tracking. Industry leaders consider Magics RP an essential step in moving from rapid prototyping to additive manufacturing. b. Specification Magic RP software 64-bit incl. -Base Module -SG Module -1st year maintenance agreement Magics Structures Module 64-bit 2) 3D Design Build Assembler a. Function EBM Build Assembler is used for importing parts creating volume support slicing parts and creating Arcam Build Files. It is possible to import parts either as 3D geometries in the STL format or as 2D layer files in the SLC or CLF format. Each part together with its wafer and volume support can be collected into one model. Several models can be handled at the same time. Upon importing all the files in the models will be transformed into compressed layer format files (CLF) and packed in to an Arcam Build File (ABF) which can be viewed as a project folder in which models can be stored and deleted. b. Specification An office PC meeting the demands for a CAD Workstation is necessary to prepare build for the Arcam EBM System. File preparation software’s included in Arcam EBM System delivery -Build Assembler -EBM Control Simulator -LogStudio 3) 3D Design Control a. Function The EBM Control is mainly used for setting up the build process simulating the build controlling the hardware running the build on the EBM system logging machine and process parameters. In the software there are several menus and parameters for controlling the process and the machine devices.
