1. The instrument should be automatic device intended to test the mechanical strength, adhesion and intrinsic cohesion of various coatings deposited by CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) or PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) or Conventional coating or other coatings on softer and tougher substrates. 2. The test should be done by scratching the surface of a coated substrate specimen with a smoothly rounded diamond point. 3. The signals of friction force, indentation depth should be depended on the nature of the damages : leveling of asperities, cracking, flaking of the coating, etc. All theses signals graph including scratch length should be provided during test and stored files after test. Also these damages should be checked by photo images and these photo images should be saved and provided on same files with graph. 4. Can be displayed of both elastic and palstic with pre-scanning of the surface 5. The analysis of this graphs and photo images should provide qualitative and quantitative information on the mechan |
