염기의 손상 단일 또는 이중나사선의 절단 염기간 교차결합 등 손상된 DNA의 분해물을 화학적으로 검출하거나 상대적인 분자량 감소를 전기연동을 주어서 측정 하는 방법들이 있다. Comet Scan은 전기연동을 주어서 생긴 Comet들을 자동으로 찾아주고 원하는 결과값을 자동으로 산출해내는 장비이다. DAPI FITC GFP RHODAMINE 등의 형광시약을 이용해 CELL 조직등에 염색을 했을때 형광현미경의 기능과 고감도의 카메라를 이용하여 이미징 작업을 할 수도 있다. 고급기능인 DIC를 이용해 Cell의 형태를 3D적으로 나타낼수가 있다. 현미경의 모든 기능은 자동화이기 때문에 TFT touch screen을 이용해 모든 사용자들이 손쉽게 사용할 수가 있다.Zeiss Microscope Axio Imager M1.
